How to Write an Essay Fast in an Exam

Students are expected to be able to write an essay fast in an exam. This can be done by calming down and setting aside a few minutes for concentration. You may be able to incorporate parts of an essay from another paper into your own. If you don’t have time for research, start with a similar structure. Then, act quickly. Remember that time is limited. In an exam, you won’t have time to read your essay with a fresh eye.
Creating a logical structure is key to writing a good essay. If you do not have the time to go through each paragraph, it may be best to write an introduction first and then proceed with the main body of the essay. Try to limit yourself to no more than three or five paragraphs, because this will make the writing process much more manageable. After all, this is where the marking takes place.
A student must schedule time to write each paragraph. They should note the time they have for each paragraph, so they will have time to revise. Alternatively, they should set aside some time at the end of the exam for revision. Students should not spend all their time on one paragraph. Instead, they should have enough time to revise before the exam. If they aren’t able to write a paragraph in a set amount of time, they shouldn’t attempt it in the first exam.
