Loaded is a parody film directed by Gene Quintano. The cast includes Emilio Estevez, Samuel L. Jackson, Kathy Ireland, Frank McRae, Tim Curry, and William Shatner. This 1996 Universal Pictures release is an ode to Generation X’s desperation. Loaded is filled with long, irrelevant conversations. Here, we take a look at what makes a movie “loaded”.
In Flash, loaded movies are stacked in a hierarchy. A movie in level 0 is the host. The next movie is a submovie that is loaded on top of the first one. As you can see, the hierarchy is rather complicated. However, there are a few techniques you can use to ensure your movies are displayed correctly. Here are some tips:
First, make sure that the Movie Clip instance is placed in the top-left corner of the Stage. If this is not the case, it won’t export with Guide Layer. Next, use ActionScript to control the loaded movie instance. If your game doesn’t have this feature, you’ll need to create a custom level that has a.SWF file in it. Alternatively, you can also use the _level0 stage and use a custom Movie Clip holder.
