A recruitment body in this, IBPS, conducts the exams along with those banks.

IBPS PO and IBPS RRB Exam Stages

You need to give three main exams to get a chance in IBPS RRB: prelims, mains, and interview ( if needed ). Prelims are easy, and the candidates can qualify easily; hence, it doesn’t count in the total score. It is just for selecting the candidates for mains. In mains, there are 4 subjects you need to prepare thoroughly to pass, i.e., general knowledge, aptitude, reasoning ability, computer knowledge. If you crack this exam, you’re in for the role even though few banks have this interview round to know the person’s thinking and personality.

The exam mode isn’t always offline; few banks conduct online exams, too, or just the online exam. The latest thing that the banks have added is the third round of interviews and group discussions ( GD ). This was not the part of the exams, but many banks have adapted to this stage too.

IBPS PO and IBPS RRB Exam Syllabus

As we said, the above bank exams are divided into three parts in some situations, two when the exam is online. The first two stages of exams are where you need to prepare mannerly in order to crack the exam.

Prelims- this exam includes three subjects, i.e., English language, reasoning ability, and Quantitative aptitude.

Mains- English language, quantitative aptitude and computer knowledge, reasoning ability, general awareness.

Interview- it is taken to test your personality and problem-solving skills.

Group discussion- it is taken to test your confidence. That is how you stand up for yourself and take the initiative and also how well you can perform in a group ( taken in as per banks choice )

The syllabus for the four main subjects is given below:-

    • English language
    • Reasoning Ability
    • Quantitative Aptitude
    • General Awareness

The syllabus for the private bank exams is pretty much the same. If you want, you can check out BYJU’S exam prep. for the exam syllabus as per your specific role. There you can also prepare mannerly for your exam, and that will help you with set exam papers, the different patterns of learning, etc.

Tips To Prepare For IBPS PO and IBPS RRB Exam

    • Try to understand the syllabus thoroughly first cause every category has its syllabus, and it is hard to differentiate between the curriculum.
    • Learn about the weightage each and every subject holds. And then prepare accordingly. You don’t need to prepare everything even the high weightage subject will be good for the exam.
    • Revise from the previous year’s question papers. It helps you get familiar with the types of questions and patterns.
    • Choose the right guide to prepare for the exam.
